For us, coffee is one of the most enjoyable drinks in the world! As a result, we and the abcoffee team decided to dedicate all the equipment reviews of this month to coffee equipment. So for our second article of the month, we decided to bring you the Moccamaster Cup-One review.

The Cup-One is a single-serve coffeemaker, that features a specially designed brew-basket that brews a perfect cup of coffee in just four minutes. This unique brewer accommodates a variety of mug shapes and sizes for convenience, making it perfect for those who want to enjoy the real taste of coffee, one cup at a time.

The Same DNA

Despite Moccamaster Cup-One was built for a single cup, it’s based on Technivorm’s famous 10-cup version like the Moccamaster KBG Select. It looks and functions very similarly which is great since the 10-cup version it’s known for its performance.

This unit offers a simple to operate single-serve brewing experience that can produce a 1.25 cup of coffee in 4 minutes. Water is heated quickly by the unique copper boiling element, maintaining temperatures between 196-205°F (91-96°C) for ideal extraction. The cone-shaped brew-basket design allows a perfect saturation of the grounds for a total extraction of flavor and aromas.

Thanks to the temperature range, and the pre-infusion cycle that preps the coffee ground before brewing, you will always end up with an excellent cup of coffee.

Most of the times, these machines will make better coffee than most of us. Yes, you can control the variables in-depth with manual pour overs, but you will have to be at your best if you want to beat these machines.

A unit like the Cup-One delivers a consistent flow of water within the ideal temperature range with just a single press of a button. You don’t need to worry about technique or water temperature, simply press the start and wait for your cup of coffee.
