Best Movie Snacks: Our Top 10

When it comes to the best movie snacks everyone has their favorites. Some people prefer sweet snacks, other savories, and there are even those who prefer the combination of both.

Whenever it’s movie time, we need to have some of our favorite snacks with us. We know that could be difficult to choose the perfect snacks due to the huge variety on the market, but after a long discussion, and dozens of snacks, we finally manage to create a list of the best movie snacks.

‍Popcorn

First on our list is one of the most famous movie snacks, the popcorn. There are lots of varieties, with chocolate, butter, spices and much more. Who doesn’t love the smell of freshly made popcorns? Or even the sound made by the corn when it explodes?

In the comfort of our homes, this snack is easily a favorite of all, but we all know how these little yellow balls can turn a movie theater into an authentic battlefield! Be it when we see these little balls of corn being turned into flying projectiles or when we listen to people “shove their heads into the bucket of popcorn”.

Even with these issues, we all know that there will never be a more ironic movie snack than popcorns.

M&M’s

Second, on our list, we have the famous “colorful button-shaped chocolates”, the M&M’s. The original candy had a milk chocolate filling but today there are a huge amount of varieties.

The best way to envoy these chocolates is by combining them with the movie you are watching. Try to combine the crunchiness of the M&M’s Crispy with an explosive action movie, or try the Caramel M&M’s with a heartbreaking drama. This may sound crazy but you’ll only understand when you try it.

Ice Cream

Ice cream is certainly one of the best movie snacks of all time. The are many ways to enjoy ice cream, and we know that every person has a favorite one.

Our favorite way to enjoy ice cream is when it is eaten in the traditional cardboard cup. There are two main reasons for this choice. First of all, the ice cream cups are a great invention, because they are the solution for clean hands. You can take as long as you want, but you will not end up with liquid ice cream in your hands. All the ice cream stays in the cup, and in the end, you can drink it.

The second reason is that you don’t need to share your ice cream with anyone. Is there anything better than eating ice cream directly from the cup while watching a movie? If there are we do not know!

Candies

Candies, all kids love it and let’s be honest adults too. It is impossible to talk about the best movie snacks without talking about candies. There are probably millions of different options in the world, and for this reason would be impossible to talk about all. But one thing is certain, Chupa Chups, Skittles, Gummy bears, and Jelly beans are some of the best candies you can have while watching a movie.

Sugar Overdose

Probably our favorite snack of all time, is what we like to call “Sugar Overdose“. This snack combines the best things you can eat while watching a movie, ice cream, popcorn, caramel sauce, cookies, and a lot more!

Cheetos

The original Cheeto is a cheese-flavored puffed cornmeal. Nowadays, there are many different flavors, but for us, the original one remains our favorite. This snack is so popular that it led the Pastry Chef Claire Saffitz from Bon Appetit Magazine to try to create a gourmet version of it.

For us, the Cheetos are a perfect snack because they can be eaten anywhere, in movie theaters, at home, on the way, literary anywhere!!!

Nachos

Probably in almost every movie theater in the world is possible to find nachos. So it makes all the sense that they have a place on the list of the best movie snack. The combination of flavors in nachos are perfect for a great home movie night.

Nachos in movie theaters? Probably a bad idea! A dark room and a bowl of nachos filled with cheese is probably not the best combination! So if you like nachos as we do, the perfect place to eat them is on your home sofa while watching your favorite movie.

Potato chips

This salty snack is another one of our favorites. Like Cheetos, potato chips are another great snack for movie night. This snack can be seen as the adult version of the Cheetos.

‍Sometimes there is nothing better than a bowl of delicious potato chips to go with us in a movie session. Our favorites are Tyrrell’s Crisps, Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar or the Tyrrell’s Crisps, Sweet Chili & Red Pepper, this brand has incredible potatoes and awesome combinations of flavors.

This snack also has the particularity of being easy to eat anywhere, so we had to have a place on our Top 10 Best Movie Snacks.

Nuts

A bowl of nuts is a simple movie-watching snack that’s a bit more fulfilling than potato chips or Cheetos. There are hundreds of possible combinations on the market, and if you want, you can easily personalize this snack at home. One of our favorite bowls of nuts combines roasted cashews with rosemary sea salt.

Pizza

We couldn't end our Best Movie Snacks list without pizza. Can we consider a pizza a snack? Probably not, but we will do it anyway!

Although this snack is not allowed in most movie theaters in the world, it is undoubtedly one of the best options for a home movie night. Besides being easily eaten with only one hand, this "snack" is perfect for dinner movie night session. Just choose your pizza and movie and you are good to go!
